Cryptography & Network Security basics

Cryptography & Network Security
The cryptography is the study of the encryption principle method. It is an very interesting subject because it explains all the encrypting and the decripting method that are in the current use.
The cryptography is arrived from the GREEK word KRYPTOS, where the meaning is the hidden secrets. This subject is used to practice the study of  secure Mechanism.
The Need for Security:
Provide a user id and password to every user and use that information to authentication to user.
Encode the information stored in the databases. So that it is not visible to users who do not have the right permissions.
Basic Terminology:
      plaintext - the original message
cipher text - the coded message
cipher - algorithm for transforming plaintext to cipher text
key - info used in cipher known only to sender/receiver
encipher (encrypt) - converting plaintext to cipher text
decipher (decrypt) - recovering cipher text from plaintext
cryptography - study of encryption principles/methods
cryptanalysis (code breaking) - the study of principles/ methods of deciphering cipher text without  knowing key
cryptology - the field of both cryptography and cryptanalysis

Service and Mechanism:
The International Telecommunication Union-Telecommunication Standardization Sector :  provides some security services and some mechanism to implement some services.

1)    Data confidentiality
2)    Data integrity
3)    Authentication
4)    No repudiation
5)    Access control

Types of Attacks :
1)    Criminal attack
2)    Publicity attack
3)    Legal attack

Criminal attack:
Fraud (ATM , CC) ,Brand Theft or the Identity Theft(Password Theft).
Publicity attack:
Attack is to damage the website.
Legal attack:
Attacker tries to convince the judge & come out.

ROTATOR CUFF

Hi!! There today I am going to share few words about the rotator cuff. So most of them will know what is rotator cuff, it is nothing but the group of muscles and tendons that is covered by or surrounded by the shoulder joints.
Let us see a detail study about the rotator cuff.

Overview:

Today why took this topic is, I was injured while playing and this pain was lasting over 6 to 8 months. So I went to the net and searched for it and I get to know that I was injured in the rotator cuff. I could not raise my hands still and release my hands. So if I write this incident as an article some will get to know when they are in the same situation. Coming back to the overview:
The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that surround the shoulder joint, keeping the head of your upper arm bone firmly within the shallow socket of the shoulder. A rotator cuff injury can cause a dull ache in the shoulder, which often worsens when you try to sleep on the involved side.
Rotator cuff injuries occur most often in people who repeatedly perform overhead motions in their jobs or sports. Examples include painters, carpenters, and people who play baseball or tennis. The risk of rotator cuff injury also increases with age.
Many people recover from rotator cuff disease with physical therapy exercises that improve flexibility and strength of the muscles surrounding the shoulder joint.
Sometimes, rotator cuff tears may occur as a result of a single injury. In those circumstances, medical care should be provided as soon as possible. Extensive rotator cuff tears may require surgical repair, transfer of alternative tendons or joint replacement.

Symptoms:

The pain associated with a rotator cuff injury may:
·         Be described as a dull ache deep in the shoulder
·         Disturb sleep, particularly if you lie on the affected shoulder
·         Make it difficult to comb your hair or reach behind your back
·         Be accompanied by arm weakness

Risk factors:

The following factors may increase your risk of having a rotator cuff injury:
·         Age:  As you get older, your risk of a rotator cuff injury increases. Rotator cuff tears are most common in people older than 40.
·         Certain sports:  Athletes who regularly use repetitive arm motions, such as baseball pitchers, archers and tennis players, have a greater risk of having a rotator cuff injury.
·         Construction jobs:  Occupations such as carpentry or house painting require repetitive arm motions, often overhead, that can damage the rotator cuff over time.
·         Family history: There may be a genetic component involved with rotator cuff injuries as they appear to occur more commonly in certain families.

Prevention:

Rotator cuff exercises
If you are at risk of rotator cuff injuries or if you've had a rotator cuff injury in the past, daily shoulder stretches and strengthening exercises can help prevent future injury.
Most people exercise the front muscles of the chest, shoulder and upper arm, but it is equally important to strengthen the muscles in the back of the shoulder and around the shoulder blade to optimize shoulder muscle balance. Your doctor or a physical therapist can help you plan an exercise routine.

Conclusion:

By reading this you could have got an little idea about this so whenever you get the pain please follow these simple exercise given above this can make you feel better

Difference between Linked in and the Facebook

FACEBOOK AND THE LINKED IN

Synopsis:
1)    Introduction
2)    Facebook
3)    Linked in
4)    Differences between them
5)    Conclusion
Introduction:
There are many social media sites for communicating and buiding our relationship between ourselves. The famous two social media sites are the Facebook and the LinkedIn. In this I am going to say about Facebook and the Linked in. While these both are used to connect people online but differently by their own features and the functionality.

All these comes under the social networking sites are services. These social networking sites are used to provide an web based tool to let people build their own profile and interact with others. These  includes Instant messages ,Chart rooms, E-mail or site group discussion. mail, blogs file sharing, video.

FACEBOOK:

The Facebook is used to connect with the verity people that are your friends, relatives and friends in school, classmates, and etc.
Facebook is an American online social media and social networking service company based in Menlo Park, California. Its website was launched on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg, along with fellow Harvard College students and roommates Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes.
When you join Facebook and create a profile, you will enter in key information which can help other people find you on Facebook. This includes; Basic information like name, birthday, hometown, political and religious views. In your profile you can also include contact information, your relationship details (married, single, and so on), and personal details such as your favorite teams, shows, movies, and books. Facebook also provides options for users to include education and work details.

Networks: When you join Facebook you can join a regional network to connect with people in your own area. Other types of networks you can join are based on a company or school.

Linked in:
Linked in is also one of the most important social networking sites where we build our profile based upon our curriculum . This linked in is used as a business oriented sites where you create a file which is exactly our current position and your previous experience of the work.
These are used to upload the professional information and connect with the collogues On the LinkedIn site you create a network that consists of "connections". Connections on LinkedIn are the people you know, and connections expand to include the people they know and have connected with on LinkedIn.
1)         Recommendations: You can recommend colleagues, business partners or service providers and share your recommendations on your profile. When others view those profiles they can read the recommendations.
2)      Contacts: You can search and add contacts individually or simply import your Outlook or Web mail contacts from Windows Live Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail or AOL to search for contacts on LinkedIn.
3)      LinkedIn Search: You can search for people by name, by company or by industry.
4)      LinkedIn Jobs: A job search, powered by Simply Hired enables you to search for jobs. Here, your LinkedIn connections, your profile updates, plus any recommendations can help you when making contact with a person who has listed a job posting you're interested in.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM:

The main difference between them is Linked in is used for a professional issues, but while rest other can be given in the Facebook.
LinkedIn is designed more for business and professional networking and offers a profile and options to network in a business sense. Facebook, on the other hand is designed more to connect family and friends. When you want to know where an old colleague is working now, you use LinkedIn. When you want to find out if that same colleague is married and if they have kids, you use Facebook.

Conclusion:
Here by I conclude that , the usage of time in Facebook is more than the usage in the linked in  but for the carrier purpose the linked in will the the best one for us. So please consider the linked as the very important one it can change even your life style also.
